Thomson Trees gain arb approved status

We are very pleased to announce we have recently attained the status of ARB Approved contractors serving the Edinburgh area of Scotland and surrounding towns and villages.

What is Arb Approved?

Arb Approved is a national tree surgery competency accreditation scheme which is operated by tree-care industry body, the Arboricultural Association. It shows that a contractor has met 65 detailed criteria points covering 4 key areas, including:-

  • Work standards and tree knowledge
  • Health/safety and competent working practices
  • Office systems and procedures
  • Good customer care practice

What this means for the customer, is that you can be assured by choosing an Arb Approved tree company in Edinburgh, that you are getting a professional company working for you. The Arb Association even sends its own experts to assess contractors out in the field. This means that not only can you be confident of our general professionalism in the running of our business, but our staff at the sharp end will also be delivering quality results.

How long did it take to become Arb Approved?

It took Thomson Trees just 6 months to prepare for becoming Arb Approved. This was due in part to our already professional business structure. However, meeting the requirements for Arb Approval was no easy task and did expose cracks in our business that would otherwise have been overlooked.

The time and expenditure necessary to achieve accreditation did put a strain on the business in many ways, but having come out the other side we are glad to have gone to the effort. As a company, we ‘feel’ more professional than ever and look forward to the new opportunities being Arb Approved offers us.

Thomson Trees Arb Approved tree surgeons cover Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, Midlothian, West Lothian, East Lothian and Fife. If you need the services of an accredited professional you can trust, please contact us today for advice and a free quote.
